As we won’t be able to have a company Christmas party this year, instead we are donating the funds to the Samaritans ‘Pay-For-A-Day Scheme 2020’. It is a wonderful cause that could help those really in need at this awful time.
From the Samaritans ‘Coronavirus is impacting all of our lives. The crisis is the biggest challenge Samaritans have ever faced. As a result, the large number of calls that we were already receiving have increased significantly and our fundraising opportunities have been cancelled or postponed.’
This awful time has been, and still will be, so tough for all businesses, and donating to charity isn’t always the first thought. This letter from the Samaritans hit my desk at the end of November as we have donated in the past. We don’t publicise charitable donations in normal situations, however, we feel that at the moment we need to support charities more than ever as they are really struggling with fundraising opportunities.
